Tonight’s Shopping Night at Fairway to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor

The Cos Cob Fire Department’s cooking skills will go to a good cause tonight from 4-9 p.m. as Fairway Market hosts a shopping event to benefit the Neighbor to Neighbor clothing and food pantry.

In recognition of the fire department’s bravery, volunteerism and first place prize won in June at the Fairway Firefighter Food Face-Off, Fairway Market will host the event at its Stamford location on 699 Canal Street. There will be a 25% discount on all purchases, the proceeds of which will be donated to the pantry. The charity currently feeds 275 families per week.

Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol defeated Noroton Heights Fire Department and Stamford Fire Department in Fairway’s Firefighter Food Face-Off on June 16th. They won a $500 gift card to shop at Fairway, and were able to select the cause that would receive the proceeds from the Shopping Night. Always thinking about their community, they were delighted that they could assist Neighbor to Neighbor through an event that provides long-term benefits to the public with a helpful donation.

Fairway Market has a long-standing commitment to firefighters, exemplified after the 9/11 tragedy, when Fairway adopted local firehouses and supplied food for them throughout the search and clean-up process. In addition to the Firefighter Food Face-Off events, firefighters receive a shopping discount at Fairway’s eight locations.

To participate in the Shopping Night, Fairway customers must register at an in-store table where they’ll get a form that they’ll present to the cashier when they check out.
