While the opening quarter of the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference class L lacrosse playoffs was a little closer than Greenwich High School was hoping, they exploded for six goals in the second and went on to beat Fairfield Ludlowe 12-4.

Greenwich High was paced by Luke Finneran, as he netted three goals and an assist. Not to be outdone was Will Perry, who also grabbed a hat trick. The duo of Sam Saleeby and James Tooher each added two goals, while Decker Curran added a goal and an assist and Bobby Goggin found the back of the net once.

In net, Tommy Rogan finished with 10 saves.

Ludlowe was led by Lorin Tobey’s two goals.

With the victory, the second-seeded Cardinals moved to the quarterfinal round where they will play familiar foe Fairfield Prep Saturday at 3.
