Equinox launches RunCross on June 9

This summer, fitness enthusiasts will be able to experience what is being called “the ultimate cardio-meets-strength challenge” with the new RunCross workout program debuting at Equinox in Greenwich. The run course experience is a stylized and intensive sports conditioning class that takes group running to new levels. It will launch exclusively at Equinox Greenwich with a four-week program going from June 9 to July 2 that will run Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7 a.m.

The program will be complimentary for all existing members and $229 for non-members. An Equinox RunCross T-shirt will be given to all participants and a post-class power snack will be provided by Creative Juice in Greenwich To register visit Equinox.com/runcross/connecticut

Conceptualized by former USA Track and Field All-Academic Team star turned running coach and trainer David Siik and modeled after the age-old success of circuit training in track and field, RunCross utilizes short distance runs through the club’s urban surroundings that culminate in an intensive circuit-training session, followed by an accelerated paced return to the club. According to Equinox, “RunCross classes will make participants stronger, faster and more closely connected to the urban playgrounds in their very own Equinox backyards.”

“Participants will no longer feel like they have just left a social run, but instead they will feel like they just completed and mastered their training practice,” said Lashaun Dale, senior national group fitness manager.
