Art Camp begins

Greenwich’s Second Congregational Church will hold a performing arts camp from Monday, July 23 through Friday, Aug. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the church at 139 E. Putnam Avenue.

The camp will be open to children and youths from the age of nine to 18 and it will include classes in singing, dancing, movement and acting. The camp will culminate in a final performance for family and friends. The fee is $595 for the two weeks.

The camp will be led by Music Educator Lisbeth Lloyd, who has performed in operas around the world; Associate Minister the Rev. Christopher Tate, a Stanford University drama graduate who is active with area theater groups; Kathryn Avery, who has danced with Katy Perry and Emma Stone on Saturday Night Live and Diane LaSala, a former director of the Stamford Theatreworks summer camp program, a musical theater director/producer, and a piano and voice teacher at The Stanwich School in Greenwich.
