Sidewalk sales pack Greenwich Avenue

nws-sidewalk-salesLast weekend, Greenwich Avenue became fertile ground for bargain hunters as the Chamber of Commerce held its annual Sidewalk Sales. From Thursday to Sunday, shoppers from all over town and beyond walked up and down Greenwich Avenue in search of savings. This included customers of all ages as five-year-old Katherine Sanchez and her four-year-old sister Elizabeth checked out the custom accessories made by Pinky, a local store that set up a stand on the Avenue. The event not only featured shopping, but also street musicians, dancing exhibitions, free water and lemonade for hot and thirsty shoppers and even a bake sale to benefit an animal shelter in Argentina. Post editor Ken Borsuk checked out Greenwich Avenue for all the action.
