Central Middle School celebrated its 35th year with a production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr.

The show ran on March 21 and March 22 and included a 70-strong cast and crew of eighth graders. It was a “fast-paced, entertaining show,” filled with Broadway-style dance numbers.

In the play, instead of falling in love with a Prince, young Princess Jasmine falls in love with Aladdin, a mischievous, fun-loving rogue who finds a magic lamp. With music by Alan Menken and memorable lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, the audience laughed and sang along with the actors on stage.
