On Feb. 21, the Art Society of Old Greenwich (ASOG) presented artist and ASOG member John Tatge with the 2013 Volunteer of the Year Award for his outstanding volunteer service.

The award was presented at the 2014 Winterfest dinner and art show, an annual event attended by ASOG members and their guests and held at the Riverside Yacht Club in Greenwich.

Member artists exhibited works for the evening in a variety of media from oil, acrylics, watercolor, photography, to pastel. Judging the exhibit was John B. Conroy, a pastel artist and signature member of the Connecticut Pastel Society.

He is also a member of the Salmagundi Club in New York and member of the ASOG.

He awarded first and second place ribbons in each media category.

Mr. Tatge, in addition to his volunteer award, received the first place award for his photograph, Archetype.
