Gateway Orchestra performs in Greenwich on Saturday

Experience the intimacy of a Gateway Orchestra performance of masterworks, in celebration of its tenth anniversary Saturday, May 31 at 8 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 108 Sound Beach Avenue.

One of Gateway’s outstanding violin soloists, Davide de Ascaniis, will be featured in the performance. In the concert, titled Great Works of Art Up Close and Personal, the orchestra will perform pieces such as the Beethoven-Eroica Symphony No. 3, Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto and more.

The Gateway Classical Music Society gives opportunities for experience and exposure to outstanding instrumental and vocal soloists from all over the world. It is an organization dedicated to bringing the thrill of great classical music performances to audiences in city and suburban neighborhoods everywhere — not just in the rarified precincts of large metropolitan concert halls, but also in houses of worship, theaters and other intimate settings.

Gateway presents high quality concerts of large music works with the goal of making classical music works of art more accessible to the public at large.

Tickets for adults are $35, $25 for seniors, and $15 for students, and can be purchased on the website at Gatewayclassical.org. To help Gateway reach out to more neighborhoods, donate at Gatewayclassical.org/content/donations.
