Greenwich Land Trust organizes orchard picnic

Enjoy a picturesque summer picnic with the Greenwich Land Trust (GLT) and Eat for Equity at Agnew Apple Orchard on Saturday, June 14 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The 6.7 acre property is home to heritage apple trees and beehives actively kept by volunteer beekeepers. It’s expected to make a fine setting for a picnic and all proceeds from this event will support the GLT’s conservation efforts.

Eat for Equity organizes community feasts that raise money for local organizations. The group specializes in creating relaxed and fun meals using locally sourced ingredients.

The Greenwich Land Trust is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to preserving land permanently. It protects and cares for more than 741 acres of diverse woodlands, meadows, orchards and tidal marshes.

There is a suggested donation of $15 to $20. All residents ages 21 years old and up are welcome.
