Another OT thriller in favor of Greenwich lax against Ridgefield

Another Greenwich High School boys lacrosse game against Ridgefield and another overtime thriller. However this time the stakes were just a little bit higher.

Against the Tigers in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference semifinal game, Big Red was able to come back from a 5-1 halftime deficit to head into overtime tied 7-7.

This time around it was Kyle Foote who scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give Greenwich the 8-7 victory.

With the win, Greenwich advances to the FCIAC championship game, where they will play a Darien High School team that had a scare from New Canaan, but were able to win in overtime as well. The game is scheduled for Friday night at 7.

Against Ridgefield, no one was better than Kyle Foote, who not only scored the clincher, but finished with four goals and an assist. Decker Curran added a goal and two assists, while Will Perry and Jaime Paradise each added a goal.

The Tigers were led by Schuyler Blair, who added two goals and one assist.

In net for the Cardinals was Tommy Rogan, who finished with nine games on the day.
