Greenwich rugby fifth in upcoming National Invitational Tournament

The Greenwich High School rugby team is getting ready for its upcoming trip to Indiana for the National High School Boys Rugby Invitational Tournament and now they know where they are seeded.

In the three division format, the Cardinals are seeded fifth overall out of eight teams in the single school division. Jesuit of Sacramento is the top seed in the single school division, while Gonzaga High School out of Washington D.C. is second. Penn Rugby, located in Mishawaka, Ind., is the third seeded team, while familiar foe to Big Red, Xavier High School, is the fourth seed.

St. Thomas Aquinas, located in Kansas City, Mo., is the sixth seed, while Notre Dame de La Salette, from Georgetown, Ill. is seeded seventh.

Rounding out the top eight is Brownsburg High School, from Brownsburg, Ind., is the final team in the single division format.

The National High School Boys Rugby Invitational Tournament will take place from May 15-17 in Elkart, Ind. at the Moose Rugby Grounds.
