Sean Jackson and the Stanwich Congregational Church Choir will perform this weekend.

The Stanwich Congregational Church will present Total Praise in Words & Music on Saturday, May 10, at 3 p.m.

The program will be led by Sean Jackson, the director of music and organist, for the church and it has been promised to be a celebration integrating classical, gospel and Christian music with inspirational readings by Stanwich Church youth members.

Led by Dr. Jackson, the performers include the Stanwich choir with soloists Amy Clapp Dye and Denise LeVan, sopranos, Dell Kendall, mezzo-soprano, Brian Joy, tenor and Wiley Maddox, bass, the Stanwich Evensong band, a chamber ensemble, and youth soloists. Also participating will be trumpeter Thompson Crozier, violinist Anna Leinbach, Christian Gospel artist Adrienne Reedy and pianist Sue Song.

Dr. Jackson, a native of Barbados and one of that country’s most distinguished émigré classical musicians, has performed internationally both as a soloist and accompanist in the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Germany, Taiwan, China, Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean. He has several recent recordings to his credit and has a growing series of performances on the web.

Stanwich Congregational Church is located at 202 Taconic Road. This is a freewill offering and a reception will follow.
