Old Greenwich resident and Fairfield Prep standout Max Trudeau will continue his football career on the other side of town and play college ball for Sacred Heart University.

As a senior last year for the Jesuits, Trudeau recorded his strongest academic year and performed at his highest level in his Prep football career. He was a key reason Fairfield Prep advanced to the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference class LL finals in 2013.

Trudeau led the defense this year with 126 tackles (88 solo and 38 assists). He forced five fumbles, recovered one and had 11 quarterback sacks. He was also a ferocious special teams player and blocked a punt which he returned for a TD and blocked an extra point.

Trudeau was selected to the Connecticut Post All 33 All-Star First Team, the New Haven Register All-Area First Team and the MSG Varsity All-Connecticut Second Team as an outside linebacker. He is also a defenseman on the Fairfield Prep lacrosse team.

As an athlete, student and young man, Trudeau has developed well in his Fairfield Prep years.

Beyond the field and the classroom, Trudeau is committed to the service of the community at the Kennedy Center in Bridgeport, where he works with young people with cognitive disabilities. Trudeau plans to pursue a plan of study in business or finance at Sacred Heart University, and play football for their NCAA Division I team.
