Town of Greenwich announces swim lesson registration

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that registration for summer youth swim lessons has begun.

Classes will range from novice to advanced levels and will be held in half hour time slots on weekday afternoons between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m., ideal for those who attend summer camp during the day.

The five week-long sessions begin on Friday, June 27 andwill conclude on Friday, Aug. 1, with no classes held on July 4. Group class fee is $85 per child and private lessons are $100 per child.  Those wishing to take a private lesson must also be enrolled in a group class.

This summer’s classes will be held at the Greenwich Boys and Girls Club pool, located on 4 Horseneck Lane.  All town resident youth are welcome to participate; you need not be a member of the Boys and Girls Club.

At this time registration is by mail-only through May 30. Beginning June 2, residents can also register in person at the Parks & Recreation Office, located on the secondfloor of Town Hall. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Class space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Applications can be downloaded at or call the Parks and Recreation office at 203-618-7649.
