Bach, jazz concert at St. Catherine of Siena

St. Catherine of Siena Church will hold a fusion of musical styles at a Bach and Jazz concert for the final concert of the St. Catherine of Siena Concert Series on Friday, May 9.

Two baroque masterpieces will be paired with an eclectic jazz suite. Conductor Mark Kaczmarczyk will lead members of the Greenwich Symphony in Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 2.

The Church Festival choir will performs Bach’s uplifting Magnificat and the evening will be rounded out with French composer Claude Bolling’s delightful Suite for Flute. The Jazz Piano Trio will showcase Susan Holz, principal flute of the Greenwich Symphony and Pawel Knapik, principal bassist of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
