Greenwich High laxmen stun Lakeland/Panas in final seconds

The Greenwich High School boys lacrosse team bounced back from its loss to Fairfield Prep in a big way Saturday at Cardinal Stadium. Hosting perennial powers Lakeland/Panas out of New York, Big Red scored in the final 30 seconds and came away with the 9-8 victory.

Kyle Foote finished with only one goal on the day, but there wasn’t a bigger goal in the contest, as he fired off the game-winning goal with less than 20 seconds to play. Leading the way on the scoreboard was Decker Durran and Jamie Paradise, who each finished with three goals. Bobby Goggin and Will Perry each added a goal to round out the scoring for Greenwich.

With the victory, the Cardinals upped its record to 7-1 on the season. To see photos from the game, check out the above slideshow from photographer Avery Belicka.
