Webster opens private facility in town

Webster Bank opened its first private banking facility last week in Greenwich at its new home on Mason Street.

The launch of Webster Private Bank was celebrated at a groundbreaking ceremony attended by bank executives, representatives of Malkin Construction, First Selectman Peter Tesei, State. Sen. L. Scott Frantz (R-36), State Rep. Fred Camillo (R-151) and Executive Director of the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Marcia O’Kane.

This group took ceremonial shovels in hand to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony.

Throughout their presence in four states, Webster Private Bankers work in seven regional teams, but this is the first branch that features a Webster Private Bank office.

The office will be located at 85 Mason Street.

Webster Private Bank offers customized, one-stop, full service financial solutions for high net-worth individuals, businesses and non-profits with $1 million or more in investable assets.

The facility was officially established last March when executives say Webster decided to build upon its more than 76 years of experience and reputation for superior customer service.

Webster Bank as a whole holds $19 billion in assets and provides business and consumer banking, mortgage, financial planning, trust and investment services through 168 banking offices, as well as telephone, mobile and Internet banking.
