Paper shredding event at Island Beach for Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day, the Greenwich Recycling Advisory Board and Greenwich Green & Clean offer a paper shredding day on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Island Beach parking lot.

From old financial statements, medical records and documents that contain sensitive information, all can be recycled safely. Co-sponsored by The First Bank of Greenwich and Santaguida Sanitation, this event supports a local food pantry.  Visitors may bring one can of tuna or one can of fruit per box of paper, or $1/box.  Box size suggested dimensions are 12” x 18” x 12”, with an eight box maximum per car.  Shredding will be done on-site and all shreds will be properly recycled.

Visitors are asked to remove folders, envelopes, paper clips, plastic binders and covers. For more information, [email protected]
