Round Hill Road clear after police investigation, no arrest yet

The Greenwich Police Department has reopened Round Hill Road after an investigation into what is being termed as a very serious criminal matter.

While multiple reports have claimed that this was an investigation into a claim of hostages being held the police had not confirmed that as of Thursday night. The 600 block on Round Hill Road, an exclusive backcountry Greenwich neighborhood, was closed off with traffic not allowed trough as the investigation took place but late Thursday night it was reopened.

There has been no arrest yet but Lt. Kraig Gray said Thursday night that the investigation was ongoing and there would be more details on Friday.

“The case remains open as more facts are gathered,” Lt. Gray said in a Thursday night tweet.

The investigation are was cleared late Thursday night allowing for traffic to flow normally.
