Greenwich benefit to feature Mark Kennedy Shriver and Willie Geist

During an informal interview at the Riverside Yacht Club on Thursday, April 24, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Mark Kennedy Shriver and NBC Today host Willie Geist will be discussing a variety of interesting topics, including the legacy of Mr. Kennedy Shriver’s father, founder of the Peace Corps, Robert Sargent Shriver, Jr.

The April 24 reception, hosted by the Greenwich Leadership Council of Save the Children, will benefit Westport-based Save the Children’s efforts to give disadvantaged children a healthy start and the opportunity to learn, starting in the early years.

Mr. Shriver is the senior vice president of Strategic Initiatives at Save the Children. During the conversation, he’ll also discuss his own mission to help improve the lives of children in the United States and all over the world.

Tickets to the benefit range from $125 to $500, and include a signed copy of Shriver’s new book, A Good Man: Rediscovering My Father, Sargent Shriver. Seating is limited, but there are a number of tickets still available. To register for the event, visit Savethechildren.org/April24event.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served before the program.
