Life saving swim

p1-Swim-APeople didn’t just beat the heat last weekend by diving in for a refreshing dip, they did it for a good cause. A total of 204 total swimmers took part in the 2012 Swim Across America Greenwich-Stamford Swim on June 30 to raise money for the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy. Event organizers say $400,000 was raised that will now be used to support a clinical trial grant for chronic lymphoma leukemia research. The swim included individuals and teams from all over the county, particularly from Greenwich where tens of thousands of dollars were raised.
