Hatters fall to Greenwich High girls lacrosse, 19-11

The Greenwich High School girls lacrosse team had little trouble getting by Danbury High School Friday afternoon, as they built a 8-5 halftime lead and cruised to the 19-11 victory.

Anne Dunster was solid for Big Red, as she led the way with five goals and five assists. Not to be outdone was Carolyn Paletta, who finished with five goals and three assists. Maddy Graves added three goals and one assist, while Meghan Collins added the hat trick.

Grace Paletta pitched in with two goals, while Paige Mautner added a goal.

Hannah Koorbusch finished with two assists, while the group of Rebecca Litt, Romy Villemure and Isabelle Gwozdz each added one assist.

“Over all, we grow more confident with each game and the girls are really out to prove themselves and improve with hard work each game,” Greenwich High School head coach Caitlin Keane said. “Really strong showing from all our attack, especially Anne Dunster and Carolyn Paletta.”

In net, Kylie Ginsberg finished with six saves for the Lady Cardinals, while Caroline Schultz added one save.
