Classes at UConn resume, investigation continues

UPDATED THURSDAY 11:55 A.M. — As an investigation into a reported bomb threat at the University of Connecticut’s Storrs Campus continues, classes are expected to resume at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The University of Connecticut sent out a text message at approximately 10: 45 a.m. asking students, staff and faculty to “Please remain inside until receiving all-clear. All classes beginning at 12:30 p.m./later will resume as scheduled. Next update 11:30 a.m.”

Students have been told to shelter in place as the investigation proceeds. The threat reportedly was called in to the school’s admissions office. That building, known as the Tasker Building, will remain closed and the situation is still under investigation.

However, all other campus areas have been declared clear and classes can resume as normal;
