Kings Food Market offers a gourmet tasting weekend

Kings Food Markets has an event planned this weekend that could well be a gourmet’s delight.

Beginning Friday, April 4, Kings will have a weekend-long spring tasting event at its Old Greenwich location at 26 Arcadia Road right off Sound Beach Avenue. Shoppers who attend the event will have a chance to taste the store’s best as they are offered signature samplings and cooking demonstrations.

In addition, Nutritionist Francine Blinten, CCN, CNS will also be on site providing consultations to customers and a giveaway of 200 Fruit Fusion Water Bottles will be passed out to customers on Friday while supplies last.

To kick off spring, shoppers will have a chance to sample the artisan roasted Marley Coffee, Nature Path’s organic and gluten-free cereal and Navitas Natural’s nutrient and antioxidant-filled dried fruits and seeds. Throughout the day, Kings will also provide shoppers with healthy and sustainably-sourced beverage options, including Harmless Harvest’s 100% raw coconut water and Steaz’s organic sodas and juices with great tasting flavors.

And those shoppers looking to embrace their sweet tooth will also have the chance to sample Kings’ chocolate dipped strawberries and enjoy “Tea-rrific” ice cream, a frozen treat infused with a blend of loose leaf and herbal teas. The treat will be available in London Mist, a citrusy Earl Grey Tea and Ginger Matcha, a sweet, gingery bite of Matcha green tea.

Throughout the three-day event, which runs through the weekend, special tastings will begin each day at 11 a.m.

Kings Food Markets declares itself to be “a one-stop culinary destination with the highest-quality gourmet selections, chef-prepared meals and all of your seasonal essentials.” It boasts that it has the community’s largest selection of locally sourced, organically grown produce to “top of the catch” seafood and superior cut meats to hand-selected cheeses from over 20 countries.

“Kings continually brings its community the best in class,” the store said in a press release.
