Art of Design benefit event April 4

Art, design and technology are industries with a dynamic relationship, both influenced by and influencing each other.

The intersections between these industries will be discussed at a luncheon on Friday, April 4 at Greenwich Country Club from 11 am to 2 pm. The event will feature a distinguished panel of experts across different industries who will discuss art, design and technology.

“In an area with so much design talent across industries, I thought a panel on the intersection of art and design, and how technology is constantly impacting design innovation, would be of interest to the community,” said Alyssa Keleshian Bonomo, advisory chair of the event.

The panel of five guest speakers, moderated by Cristin Marandino, editor of Greenwich Magazine, will include Terry Betteridge, owner and president of Betteridge Jewelers; architect Allan Greenberg, founder Allan Greenberg Architect, LLC; David Moser, principal designer of Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers; Lauren Santo Domingo, founder of Moda Operandi and contributing editor of Vogue and fashion designer and entrepreneur Amy Similovic, founder of the clothing line Tibi.

“Our distinguished panel of leaders in their fields will help us understand more about the art of design,” said Ms. Bonomo, “and why, for example, some designs stop us in our tracks while others go unnoticed. It promises to be a lively, inspiring and enlightening discussion, and we hope will be a successful benefit for the Bruce.”

The benefit is co-chaired by Gretchen Bylow and Judith Wertheimer. All are welcome and a variety of ticket levels are available for purchase. Benefit levels include a special private reception and tours. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Artofdesign2014.eventbrite.com
