Ketan Tamm, 46, beloved son and lifelong creator

Ketan Tamm

Ketan Tamm was born on August 16, 1967 and passed away on March 22, 2014.

Ketan inherited his mother’s love of theater. At the wise old age of three, he began his life-long career producing, acting, writing, and directing plays. When his little sister, Jayanti was old enough, she became his willing, or, at times, unwilling, star.

Ketan grew to be an amazing director and incredible friend. His imagination and creativity were endless. He produced and directed shows that were performed in venues across the world. A man with many gifts, Ketan was a world-traveler, entrepreneur, events director and publicist.

Confident in his life and his work, Ketan lived with graceful ease and laughter. He took great pleasure in coffee and fine dining, yet equally loved milk shakes and cheese fries with friends. He generously offered his love and talent. Of all the rich elements of his life, the theater was his home, his comfort place.

Ketan’s death is a tragic loss for all who knew and loved him. Friends are invited for a tribute on Saturday, March 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre, 45 Bleecker Street, N.Y., N.Y.
