Artists recognized in art show at Byram Shubert Library

Conjuring “magical places” with paint, sculpture, pastels and collage, Art Society of Old Greenwich members created an array of artworks for the “Magical Places” Art Show.

The show, which is being exhibited at the Byram Shubert Library in Greenwich, is on view through March 29. Artist and teacher Sherry Tamalonis judged the show and selected first and second place award winners in each media category: watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel/graphics, sculpture, and mixed media/photography.

Winners were presented with their awards at the artists’ reception at the library on March 6.

Byram Shubert Library is located at 21 Mead Avenue. Library hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday 12 to 8 p.m, closed Sunday.
