Greenwich boys swim team ready to compete in class LL finals

The Greenwich High School boys swimming and diving team are just about 30 minutes away from the start of the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference class LL championship meet, held at Wesleyan University.

The Greenwich Post is LIVE at the Wesleyan University pool with updates, both on our twitter feed (@greenwichpost) and right here at Greenwich-post.com, so check back both places throughout the day.

Already, the Cardinals are well ahead of the game. Earlier, the GHS divers took to the Hamden High School pool for the CIAC class LL diving finals and three of the top five finishers all come from Greenwich. Leading the way was junior Andrew Bologna, who took the class LL championship with 428.45 points. Senior Jeff Aselin finished with the bronze with 381.60 points, while freshman Justin Sodokoff took fifth with 365.10 points.

Fellow GHS senior Riccardo Marcangeli grabbed 20th overall, posting 233.00 points. Overall, Greenwich grabbed a class LL-leading 85 points.
