James Jasensky, 50, Greenwich native

Obit-Janesky-3-13James Jasensky, 50, died March 9 at Danbury Hospital.

Born in Greenwich on Sept. 9, 1963, he was the son of Frank and Mary Ann Kinnelly Jasensky of Old Saybrook. Mr. Jasensky was a 1981 graduate of Greenwich High School and a graduate of Norwalk Technical School. He was a licensed radon mitigation provider and worked as the owner and operator of Oasis Environmental Solutions of Redding for 10 years until the time of his illness.

Mr. Jasensky was an active leader in Cub Scouts and a Redding Little League coach while also enjoying playing drums in a local band and being an avid fan of the New York Mets and New Jersey Jets. Family members recalled his sense of humor and love of his children.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Josephine Jasensky, he is survived by his children, William and Olivia Jasensky, his  sisters Patricia, Debora and Penny, his mother-in-law, Stella Stachyra, brother-in-law, Renè Huiban, 11 nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, at 10, meeting directly in St. Patrick Church, 169 Black Rock Tpk., Redding. Springtime interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Friday, March 14, from 4 to 7 in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.
