The Chinese New Year celebrations kicked off early for Greenwich Adult Day Care, with a special student performance on Jan. 26.

Students from the Chinese Language School of Connecticut dressed in traditional clothing and delighted GADC seniors with a Chinese New Year song.

After their performance, the students and seniors worked together to create plum blossom pictures, which are now being displayed throughout River House.

The Jan. 26 performance was just the beginning of GADC’s week-long celebration of Chinese New Year. Programs featured throughout the week focused on Chinese culture, history and traditions.

Midweek, GADC seniors were visited by renowned entertainer Miz Liz and Company.

The festivities concluded on Feb. 1, with a special Chinese New Year presentation.
