The Business Council of Fairfield County has announced several new officers to its Board of Directors including Greenwich resident Janet Steinmayer, of Appleseed Food Frontiers, LLC.

Ms. Steinmayer is the founder and CEO of Appleseed Food Frontiers, a business accelerator and investment firm chiefly supporting expansion-stage consumer packaged good food companies. She began her career as a corporate lawyer and was general counsel at Trans World Airlines, then a Fortune 500 company, when it was owned by the Icahn organization.

She graduated from Bryn Mawr College, where she serves on its Board of Trustees, and the University of Chicago Law School. She also serves on the boards of Command Security Corporation, an NYSE-traded company, the Eagle Hill Southport School, where she is chairman, Lesley University and The Business Council of Fairfield County.

The other appointees to the Business Council’s executive committee include: Reyno A. Giallongo, Jr., Chairman & CEO of First County Bank; James Fitzgerald, EVP of Northeast Commercial Division, Wells Fargo Bank N.A; Pamela Elkow, Partner at Metro NY, Robinson & Cole LP; and Greenwich resident Kenneth Seel, Office Managing Partner at KPMG LLP.
