Model train show comes to Greenwich March 9

Model train hobbyists take note, on Sunday, March 9, the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center is holding the Southern Connecticut Model Train Show.

With more than 100 tables of model trains, locomotives, rolling stock, track, artwork, and scenery supplies, it’s a great place for railroad fans to expand their interest and a chance to introduce children to a creative hobby. There will also be a variety of t-shirts, books, DVDs & more for sale.

The show will also feature clinics on model train assembly, and realistic scenery creation. Door prizes will be given out throughout the day, culminating in the grand prize of a full-size HO train.

The show hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for seniors. Children under 12 years old are free when accompanied by an adult.
