Cos Cob author to sign books at Stew Leonard’s

Stew Leonard’s will welcome local cookbook author Dina Cheney to sign copies of her new cookbook on Saturday, March 8 from noon to 2 p.m.

The book, titled Meatless All Day: Recipes for Inspired Vegetarian Meals, is a cookbook that seeks to make vegetarian food both satisfying and delicious. With 85 recipes, detailed descriptions of 45 “power” ingredients, and overviews of key cooking techniques, it’s a book that aims to make vegetarianism accessible to all.

The book will be available for sale for $17.99. In addition to a book signing, there will also be a cooking demonstration featuring one of the book’s recipes, a mushroom vegetable loaf. For those who just can’t get enough, the loaf will also be available for purchase at the store’s buffet bar that day.

Ms. Cheney, a Cos Cob resident, is the author of several other cookbooks, including Year-Round Slow Cooker, Tasting Club, and Williams-Sonoma: New Flavors for Salads. She has been the “Taste Test” columnist for Everyday with Rachael Ray for several years, is a regular contributor to Fine Cooking and has written articles or developed recipes for more than 20 other publications.

Stew Leonard’s is located at 100 Westport Avenue, Norwalk. For information, call 203-847-7214.
