JHouse’s holds Chocoholics’ Getaway

Chocolate fiends take note. The JHouse Greenwich is presenting an exclusive Chocoholics’ Getaway on March 8 and again on April 12.

The chocolate-themed package features an overnight stay in the hotel, a chocolate truffle making class complete with champagne service, and a night of cocktails and chocolate desserts. There will also be breakfast in bed with chocolate pastries and hot chocolate.

Guests will go home with a souvenir Chocolate Lab apron and Executive Chef Francois Kwaku-Dongo’s secret chocolate truffle recipe.

The cacao-centric package is rooted in the internationally renowned chocolate expertise of Mr. Kwaku-Dongo, who grew up on his grandparents’ cacao farm in the Cote d’Ivoire and was a founder of the world’s first country of origin chocolate manufacturer, the globally acclaimed Omanhene in Ghana, for which he serves as director of culinary services.

The getaway takes advantage of the hotel’s Chocolate Lab, where the cacao bean to chocolate comestible journey is explored daily with the hand fashioning of small batch, innovative creations.

The Chocoholics’ Getaway at The JHouse Greenwich is priced from $349 double occupancy, a 30% saving on the total cost of its elements. The JHouse Greenwich is located at 1114 East Putnam Avenue. For more information and reservations, call 877-468-6800 or visit Jhousegreenwich.com.
