Ice cream naming contest underway

There’s still time left to name Méli-Mélo flavors during the Ice Cream & Sorbet Tasting to Celebrate July’s National Ice Cream Month.

People visiting Méli-Mélo at 326 Greenwich Avenue are invited to create “whimsical, fun names” for the shop’s ice cream and sorbets.

All entries will be considered by the pastry and executive catering chef and be narrowed down to 10 winners. The winners will then have the new names displayed throughout July as part of National Ice Cream Month.

Additionally, creativity will be rewarded with either a Méli-Mélo hat or t-shirt and a quart of the flavor you name.

There is no purchase necessary to participate. All you have to do is request a tasting form and let your taste buds get to work.

Completely fill out your contact information on the tasting form and do your best to capture the essence of our natural flavors for goat cheese, caramel, honey lavender, chocolate coconut and salted butter candied peanut, kalamansi (citrus fruit), strawberry & banana orange blossom water and more. More information is available by stopping in the store or by visiting online at and twitter @melimelocrepes.

Méli-Mélo will have additional summer specials throughout the season.
