Having Fonda speak in Greenwich disrespectful to veterans

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

I wish someone would please explain to me the rationale for having Jane Fonda appear in front of an audience at the upcoming Family Centers event in Old Greenwich.

Having her appear and speak as an honored guest only lends credibility to her un-American activities during the Vietnam War when she appeared with the Vietnamese government in defiance of our troops who were there fighting a war. This caused more casualties among our troops.

Frankly I think she should have been stripped of her American citizenship when she did this. Now she’s coming to Greenwich to speak and she is not doing this out of the goodness of her heart. She only wants to sell books and her publisher is picking up her costs. If you are not aware of the damage she caused our troops during this period, I suggest you Google it.

I have long supported the various charities of Greenwich but this one is a slap in the face to every veteran who served during the Vietnam War. I hope that people will boycott her appearance at this event.
