YMCA to honor Corvino

At its annual gala on March 1 at the Delamar Hotel, the YMCA of Greenwich will honor Frank Corvino, president and CEO of Greenwich Hospital.

In making the announcement, the YMCA said that Mr. Corvino was being honored for all his work at the hospital and for serving the Greenwich community.

“In the 26 years that Frank has been at Greenwich Hospital he has developed a first class medical facility that has earned a national reputation for outstanding patient care,” said Jim Cabrera, chairman of the board of the YMCA of Greenwich.

“He has worked tirelessly throughout our community to provide the best healthcare possible and to ensure residents are aware of the many preventative services and programs available. Nobody embodies the YMCA philosophy of excellence in healthy living better than Frank. We are proud to honor him,” Cabrera added.

This year’s gala theme will be Set Sail… Destination Havana 1940. The YMCA said it will aim to recreate the cool sophistication of the time, with dancing and entertainment reminiscent of the era.

Guests will also enjoy a light dinner, cocktails, and a silent auction.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the YMCA of Greenwich. Information on purchasing tickets can be found at Greenwichymca.org.
