McArdle’s hosts organic farm stand

McArdle’s Florist and Garden Center will be hosting a weekly organic farm stand every Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. through the month of September.

Produce at the farm stand will be provided by Red Clover Farms of Seymour. Established in 1915, Red Clover grows fruits, vegetables and herbs organically and also sells jams and preserves, honey, pies, artisan salts and maple syrup.

McArdle’s will also serve as a local Community Supported Agriculture “CSA” location. Over the last 20 years, CSA has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer. By signing up with a farm, you become a member of the CSA and receive a weekly box of locally grown produce during the harvest season.

Each share contains whatever is ripe that week. Subscriptions are still available and can be found at

McArdles is located at 48 Arch Street. For more information visit or call 203-661-5600.
