Snow could arrive early Monday; updates on Hersam Acorn Radio

Snow is scheduled to strike Southwestern Connecticut just in time for Monday morning’s commute on Feb. 3.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory as of 4 p.m. Sunday.

Jacob Meisel of SWCTweather on Twitter has tweeted that as much as five inches of snow could fall by the coast, with a potential for heavy snow between 8 and 10 a.m. – at the height of rush hour.

Meisel has advised residents to, if possible, avoid travel until 1 p.m., when temperatures may briefly rise above freezing.

Forecasters are also keeping watch on another potential for significant snow Wednesday. More details will be posted as they become available.
