Brookridge Drive bridge replacement making progress

The design is 30% complete for the town’s Brookridge Drive Bridge Superstructure Replacement project and an informational meeting on its progress will be held on Feb. 6.

This project involves the removal and replacement of the roadway, concrete deck, steel girders and stone masonry parapets of the Brookridge Drive Bridge. The design and construction of the project is being funded 90% by the town of Greenwich, with the state providing a 10% reimbursement through the its local bridge program.

It is the town and state’s Department of Transportation’s policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share their concerns with the department to assist in the project’s development.

The town will conduct a public informational meeting on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Greenwich Town Hall in the employee lounge on the ground floor.

All people affected by the project are welcome to attend the informational meeting.
