Panel will discuss bullying

The Junior League of Greenwich and its community partners will present family friendly screenings of The Bully Effect and Bystanders: Ending Bullying at a special event on Tuesday.

For this event, the Junior League is partnering with the YWCA, the Greenwich Board of Education, the Greenwich Police Department, Greenwich High School, Family Centers, and more. The event will include film screenings and panel discussions.

Questions like: Bullying: What is it? What are your schools and community doing about it? What can you do? And, how to be an “ally” and not a “bystander?” Superintendent of Schools William McKersie and Marji Lipshez-Shapiro from the Anti-Defamation League will explore these questions and more.

The event will be on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. at Bow Tie Cinemas at 2 Railroad Avenue. The cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the theater. For kids 18 and under, the cost is $5. People can register online at Jlgreenwich.org.
