Get ‘Healing Touch’ during exam week

Exam time can be one of the most stressful experiences for a high school student, but now Greenwich High School is starting a unique program it hopes will benefit students as they crack the books.

Last week, GHS Headmaster Chris Winters informed students that there will be some rather unique “hands on” help with mental preparation for exams. As part of a partnership with the hospital, Greenwich Hospital’s Integrative Medicine Program will be sending volunteers to the school to offer Healing Touch relaxation sessions to the GHS students during exam week.

The service will be offered on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Thursday, Jan. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon on both days in the school’s auditorium foyer.

Dr. Winters said this is a free service and available to all students. In the letter to students last week, he said he hoped it would relieve some of the stress students experience during exams.
