Land Trust ‘goes wild’ for scholarship fund

The Greenwich Land Trust is ready to go wild…at night.

On Saturday, June 9 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Secret Garden at Greenwich Point the land trust will hold Go [email protected] to establish the Daniel V. Barrett Stewardship Endowment Fund.

Tickets can be purchases at Gltrust.org or by calling Jacinta Mullins at 203-629-2151 to buy tickets over the phone.

The scholarship is named after Dan Barrett who tended to the land trust’s meadows, orchards, woodlands, and salt marshes for two and half decades. When he retired in 2011, he left behind a legacy of environmental education, carefully managed landscapes and an unprecedented enthusiasm for connecting the community with the land he loves.

The GLT’s Board of Directors will establish the Daniel V. Barrett Stewardship Endowment Fund to honor his work and to ensure that all of GLT’s land receives the proper care forever.
