Fourth and fifth graders were in a skit called We Are The World as part of the play.

’Twas the season of giving and fourth and fifth graders at Parkway School embodied that spirit on Nov. 19 in a presentation of Kids for Change.

The play was inspired by the giving spirit of Parkway students who continually demonstrate selflessness by asking, “What can we do to help?”

Fifth grade students at Parkway have been leading the school in local and international outreach for more than 10 years with the help of parent volunteers and the fifth grade teachers, called Kids With A Purpose.

Kids for Change was a series of vignettes reflecting the different ideas and projects which have entailed giving to others. The show featured inspirational popular songs, with the musical direction of Parkway Music Instructor Trish Garten, and with the help and guidance of several teachers at the school.
