Greenwich man should mind his own business

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorEditor’s Note: This letter was sent in regard to a letter received in an Idaho publication independent of the Post.

To the Editor

On Dec. 11, 2013, a letter to the editor appeared in Pocatello’s Idaho State Journal from one Mr. Edward Manzeer of Greenwich. He signed “Edward Manzeer P. E., Manzeer and Associates.” Mr. Manzeer was commenting about the girls basketball coach at Pocatello High who had been fired for a photo posted on her Facebook page.

The public opinion in Pocatello has been 100% against the decision of the local school board and in support of this fine young coach. There have been approximately 25 letters to the editor, commentary columns, and full-fledged articles on this subject. All have supported the coach. All have criticized the school board.

Now comes a letter from Greenwich supporting the school board’s decision. I contacted the telephone information operator in Greenwich seeking a listing for Mr. Manzeer and or Manzeer and Associates … no listing. I then “Googled” the individual and the “company” and no listing.

Mr. Manzeer, if you do exist, how do you feel qualified to comment on a subject you obviously know nothing about? Why is someone from the opposite side of the country sticking his nose in a local issue? Do you know any of the supporting facts about this incident? Are you at all aware of the local public opinion regarding this subject?

May I suggest, if there is an Edward Manzeer, that you know all of the facts before you spout off about it. I would strongly doubt that any Pocatello residents have stuck their nose into any Greenwich issues.
