Town of Greenwich summer ramp camp begins

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that there is still space available in our summer Skate Park Ramp Camps starting June 25, 2012. The Ramp Camp is for skateboarders between the ages of seven and 14.

During the camp time, skaters will learn new tricks, play games and skate on this unique park. The program runs weekly Monday through Thursday from 9 to noon, with a rain date on Friday. The skate park has an experienced, fully-trained staff that is friendly, helpful and can help children learn how to skate, or improve the child’s skills.

Weekly sessions are the weeks of June 25 to 28, July 9 to July 12, Aug. 6 to Aug. 9, Aug. 13 to Aug. 16 and Aug. 20 – Aug. 23.

There are also Pee Wee clinics for skateboarders 6 to 8 years of age that run for one-hour 6:30 to 7:30 pm Monday – Thursday with a rain date on Friday. These weekly clinics will meet the weeks of July 16 to 19, July 23 to 26, and July 30 to Aug. 2.
