Goodwill opens new Greenwich campus

Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut has opened a Greenwich campus at 1143 E. Putnam Avenue. The donation station portion of the facility opened in November of 2011. Goodwill programs and services, including the Transitional Employment Program, currently serving 16 individuals and previously housed in Stamford, moved in the first week of May.

The new campus will allow Goodwill to expand services to address the needs of local communities in the area. The facility offers employment services programs, brain injury support groups, job club meetings, employment workshops, a community experience program for individuals with severe disabilities and a Goodwill Career Center.

Goodwill Career Centers, designed to make employment services more accessible to local residents, offer the public free help with resume building and networking, access to local job postings, the use of computers, telephones and fax machines, referrals to education and community support and help with interviewing skills. In addition, weekly workshops provide information on a variety of topics including Internet and email basics, interviewing and proper attire, teen employment, strategies for job seekers over 50 and workplace success.

Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut is a non-profit organization that provides employment and support services to the community.
