YMCA adds to Board of Directors

The YMCA of Greenwich recently announced the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors, which now has 27 members volunteering their expertise and leadership in advance of the YMCA’s 100th anniversary in 2016.

The newly elected members include Robert Caldaroni, director of financial reporting at Blyth, Inc.; Cathy de Silva of CDSF Consulting; Neil Isford, vice president at Smarter Analytics, IBM North America; Steven LoParco, president/owner of LoParco Associates, Inc. and Alexander Todorovic, founder/president of Accordia Group, LLC.

Jim Cabrera, chairman of the YMCA of Greenwich Board of Directors said, “This is an outstanding class of new directors. Each brings a valuable skill set that will continue to strengthen our board. These are impressive Greenwich residents who want to volunteer their leadership skills to ensure one of our community’s most valuable resources continues its mission for generations to come. It is going to be exciting to see what this next year brings for the YMCA — stay tuned.”

“I am very happy to be working with such a committed group of individuals,” said Ed Philipp, CEO of the YMCA of Greenwich. “For a nonprofit organization to succeed it must have a strong, dedicated board and that is what we have at the YMCA. Since I started here more than 14 months ago, we have seen remarkable changes occur and I believe the next two years are going to be just as exciting. There are many new programs in the works that will benefit our entire community. Having a Board of Directors as strong as we have here will allow us to build on our strengths and provide even greater benefits to our community.”
