Town seeks donations to provide holiday meals

This holiday season, not everyone in the Greenwichh community will be fortunate enough to afford a holiday meal and the Department of Social Services Holiday Aid Program is asking residents for help.

Donations from giving citizens are critica to ensuring that everyone in town has a full belly and a happy holiday.

The Holiday Aid Program provides assistance to eligible Greenwich residents during the holiday season and is made possible solely by donations from the community. There are currently 461 households signed up.

Donations are used for all participants who do not receive a food basket from a donor. The Department of Social Services is seeking assistance to help make the holidays a little brighter for those a little less fortunate.

To contribute, 100% of which is tax deductible, make checks payable to the 2013 Holiday Aid Program and send to the Town of Greenwich, Department of Social Services, 101 Field Point Road, Greenwich, CT. 06830, Attn: Alison Brush.
