Clear named ‘New Leader in the Law’

Wiggin and Dana employee Michael Clear is proving he’s on top of his game, recently earning a 2013 “New Leader in the Law” by the Connecticut Law Tribune.

The honor is presented annually to lawyers under the age of 40 whose achievements in the legal profession have distinguished them from their peers.

Mr. Clear is an associate in the firm’s Greenwich office and a member of the Private Client Services Department. He focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, probate litigation and business succession planning. In 2012, Mr. Clear represented clients in more than 100 major wealth transfer transactions.

He co-authored a chapter on Connecticut pre-probate estate administration issues for the MCLE book on probate practice in Connecticut, and is the current co-chair of the Fairfield County Bar Association’s Probate and Estates Committee.

Mr. Clear was one of 62 attorneys selected for this honor out of a pool of more than 300 nominations from across the state. Wiggin and Dana attorneys David Schaffer and Kim Rinehart were also named “New Leaders in the Law” for 2013.
